From September 30 till October 25 exhibition “Eternity of romantic”, representing European ancient dressed and ladies` accessories of the first half of the 19th century, will be held at Kiev Gallery “Minus4”. Within the program of the exhibition three chamber concerts will be given.
Exposition includes exhibits from private collection of Kiev resident Marina Ivanova: dresses and ladies` accessories of the century before last, which were in fashion almost 200 years ago.
The collection contains about a hundred hats, 30 dresses, hundreds of bags, about ten umbrellas, five pairs of shoes and other things of historical value.
To keep these unique items for many more years, certain level of humidity should be maintained, they should also be kept in dark space, since dry air and sun light are the worst things for these fabrics. “Everything should constantly be replaced, aired, restored. I invest into the collection everything I earn and I`m surprised how my family can still stand the fact that I spend so much money on my hobby” – Marina Ivanova, designer of interiors said.
Along with clothes and accessories, Ivanova`s collection contains rare books on history of fashion and antique fashion editions of the century before last.
Three chamber concerts will be held during the exhibition. On October 2-3, string quartet “Post scriptum”, quartet of saxophonists “Sax`s King” and ensemble of antique music “Secundum Artem”.
Entrance ticket will be supplemented with a cup of coffee.
