On July 21 the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Israel and Ukraine signed an agreement on cancellation of visas for citizens who use civil and official passports of Ukraine and Israel.
“Citizens of Ukraine and Israel can enter the territory of the other state, move through it and stay on it without getting a visa for 90 days in a term of 180 days” – press-release of the Foreign Affairs Ministry informs.
This agreement is to be ratified by the Parliaments of both countries and it’s not likely to become operative till autumn. Now the fee for getting Israeli visa is from 17$, Ukrainian visa for citizen of Israel - from 30$.
Besides, diplomats consider it reasonable to revise prices for air flights between Israel and Ukraine and also to increase the number of flights after cancellation of visa regime. From July 19 air companies “Aerosvit” and “Donbasaero”, which are parts of “Ukrainian Aircraft Group” Alliance, have increased the rate of flights between Kiev and Tel Aviv from 12 to 13 per week.
In the period of winter navigation of 1910-1911 (when the visa regime will not be valid) they plan to increase the rate of flights to 16 per week.
Travel agencies believe that after visas cancellation, the cost of voucher to Israel may become 100-150$ lower because of growth of tourist flow (now the average cost is from 1000$).
