Ars Festival Electronica Animation Festival 2009 presentes a film demonstration in Zhovten cinema on the 19th-20th of March
Ars Electronica is an organization based in Linz, Austria, founded in 1979 around a festival for art, technology and society that was part of the International Bruckner Festival. Within a few years, Ars Electronica developed into one of the world’s foremost media art festivals. And its growing success was paralleled by the expansion of its annual lineup of events. The 1979 festival proudly presented 20 artists and scientists; in 2008, no fewer than 484 speakers and artists from 25 countries were in attendance.
Ars Electronica stands for the world’s leading media arts festival, a superlative state-of-the-art museum, and an innovative R&D facility. The Ars Electronica Festival, the Ars Electronica Center – Museum of the Future, and the Ars Electronica Futurelab are big draws that attract visitors, tourists, clients and associates from throughout Upper Austria and around the world.
Kiev demonstrations program will be divided into such parts as animal life, blood and battle, dark stories, late at night, moving patterns, inner and external worlds, narrative, position and message, sound and image, visual special effects, Japanese animation, and Mexican animation.

Kyiv, December 28, 2011. A famous Ukrainian folk singer Oleg Skrypka performed a renewed version of the winter holiday classic Carol of the Bells originally composed by Ukrainian Mykola Leontovych. A Polish artist Jaroslaw Koziara created two giant images of fish on the grass on each side of the Polish-Ukrainian border. The tail of the first image lies on the territory of Poland with its head on the Ukrainian territory. The second fish is positioned facing the opposite direction. The artist intends to send the message of unity of the two countries – nature and art know no borders.
