From January 5 till January 28 an exhibition of works of the artist-experimenter Tatyana Falina will be held at “Wunjo Art” Gallery.

Restorers of “Sophia Kievskaya” peeled off one fresco to reveal another one, which could be seen for the last time 800 years ago. The fact that the fresco in the northern part of the Cathedral consists of two layers and each of them has an image on it became known accidentally.

From December 15 till January 24 exhibition of Olaf Martens – the photographer, who was entitled “Helmut Newton of Eastern Germany” by the edition “Der Spiegel”, will take place in Kiev gallery “Brucie Collections”.

The official talismans of the World Championship in football were named Slavek and Slavko. Delegate of the President of UEFA on matters of EURO 2012 Frantishek Lavrinets informed about it in Kiev.

On December 7 the most expensive book in history of auctions “Birds of America” by John James Audubon will be sold at London Auction Sotheby’s.

On December 16-26 Grand Antique Salon will take place for the third time in Art and Museum Complex “Mystetskiy Arsenal”. This is the largest project in Ukraine, introducing masterpieces of world art, unique private and gallery collections.

Restoration works in Ternopol Castle started in summer, but much time was spent on preparation – project and technology of work had to be chosen.

According to the idea of Andrey and Petr Ozyumenko, creators of the original boots, these are boots of an insurance agent, who wore them out in his pursuit of a client. The monument will be made of bronze. It will be 80 centimeters long.

On November 23 the third International exhibition of modern art “Ukrainian Art Week” was opened in the Museum of Modern Ukrainian Art. 

Capital subway has celebrated its 50th anniversary. Tunnels were dug underground and first three trains at first five stations started to run.

Two twin-football players – talismans of Championship in football that will be held on fields of Ukraine and Poland, have been presented in Warsaw. The Polish football player wears white t-shirt and red shorts and Ukrainian player – yellow t-shirt and blue shorts. Hairstyles of the both twins are also done in national colors.  

On November 10, 2010 Sanahunt Luxury Concept Store represented Sanahunt Gallery – unique service of art consulting and exhibition area.

The new logotype and promo record of Ukraine, devoted to the Championship of Europe in football in 2012, have been represented in Kiev.

Opening of Rasim Seidimov`s project “RasiMir”, devoted to the 65th anniversary of founding of the United Nations Organizations, took place in the Museum of Modern art on October 27.

The third all-Ukrainian festival of Japanese animation will be held in Kiev on November 5-7.

Edition of the famous Kiev attraction of the first half of 11th century in English, German and French languages has been represented at St. Sophia`s Cathedral of the National Reserve “Sophia Kievskaya”. This is the oldest domestic book, originating from Yaroslav Mudry`s Library, founded under Sophia`s Cathedral in 1037. The old Kiev Rhemish Gospel appeared in France with Yaroslav Mudry`s daughter Anna.

Premier of the operetta “Ball in Savoya” of the Hungarian composer Paul Abraham will take place at Kiev National Operetta Theatre on October 22 and 23. It will take place in Kiev for the first time since its appearance at Berlin Big Theatre named after Reinhard on December 23, 1932.

The remarkable sights of architecture will be restored in the capital by the football championship of Europe in 2012.
