A fairy-tale hid in the comfortable court of Podolsk in Kyiv. From the first sight an ordinary building appears to be the real workshop of wonders. Passing through an arch from a noisy street to the quiet and mysterious atmosphere of old Kyiv, find yourself in some parallel reality - where a daily routine and illusion close up. Right beside the arch you’ll meet sad and sorrowful Guard with the heart bound by a pin. Building of the theatre is inhabited by quiet, mysterious creatures. The vestibule is a place where play begins and the same time a comfortable cafe with local mysterious inhabitants looking at you from the walls. Like ivy, they are hanging down in all dark corners, walls, with their huge eyes open wide, taciturnly playing their welcoming play.

Even century ago a puppet-plays were shown only in front an adult spectators. In fact it is hard to make a doll live. So few mastered this skill. The revival of a doll was causing horror for an average man because it reminded witchcraft.

In the modern puppet theatre there is only a good witchcraft, and this witchcraft is called love –love of the children.

The Puppet theatre is founded in November, 1989 by a stage-director and artist Mykhailo Yaremchuk. Since that time the major part of his plays were awarded in different prestige theatrical nominations: “Grand Prix” in a few international festivals, and three "Kyiv Pectoral" - for the best performances for children, for the best performances on the chamber stage for adults, for the stage design and musical arrangement.

In the basis of creative search of the theatre lies creation of original plays for children and adults, based on the best works of world literature and Ukrainian folklore.
