If you look at the scheme of Mirgorod Resort, it is impossible not to notice that the river Khorol, rounding the building of sanatorium “Khorol” creates an original horseshoe for happiness and local resort`s fame confirms that it is not accidental. Sanatorium “Mirgorod” is one of the health resorts inside this “Horseshoe”. Participants of liquidation of effects of Chernobyl catastrophe strive to come here for treatment, since medical personnel of the sanatorium specializes in their rehabilitation.
But not only disaster fighters from Chernobyl nuclear station find rescue from their diseases here. Everybody, who has visited “Mirgorod” just once, is delighted with effective treatment of internal organs: stomach, liver, pancreas, cardio-vascular, locomotive and nervous systems. There functions a department for rehabilitation of people, suffering from diseases of urogenital system. People with not specific diseases of respiratory system can improve their health in special rehabilitation department and a well-equipped salt-mine room.
Medical treatment
The most up-to –date medical diagnostic base, equipped with the newest, sometimes unique for Ukraine equipment makes the sanatorium and its highly-professional personnel famous. There is exercise therapy gym, training simulators gym, apparatus physiotherapy, medical massage, cabinet of pneumomassage, inhalation and psychotherapy. Guests of “Mirgorod” can also use general resort balneary, diagnostic center (clinical, biochemical, bacteriological laboratory, cabinets of duodenal intubation, fractional analysis of gastric juice, gastroscopy, thermography, ultrasound examination, and reovasography.
Such methods are actively used in medical treatment:
- “Mirgorodskaya” mineral water for both internal and external use – baths, medical shower, underwater massage shower, inhalations, blind probing, intestinal and gynecological irrigations;
- Peat-mud treatment – local mud applications, electro-mud treatment, rectal and vaginal mud tampons, mud baths;
- Different methods of apparatus physiotherapy;
- Remedial gymnastics;

Accommodation
“Mirgorod” Sanatorium can accommodate 426 visitors at a time. The modern building impresses with its comfort and modern forms and makes unique ensemble together with the building of sanatorium “Poltava”, located nearby.
Each room, offered to guests, is as comfortable:
- Single “Standard” room (shower, wash basin, toilet);
- Double “Standard” room (shower, wash basin, toilet);
- Double two-room “Luxe” (shower, wash basin, toilet, a TV-set, a fridge).
- Cold water is available throughout a day (from 5 a.m. till 11 p.m.), hot water – daily, according to the schedule.
- Children can stay at the health resort together with adults.
Along with the obligatory medical –rehabilitation procedures, each guest can find exciting occupation and space for useful leisure time here: on the territory of the sanatorium there function a café, a bar, catamaran and boat rent, Palace of culture, sauna, sport grounds, children`s playgrounds, athletic and remedial walking paths, the beach.
A hairdressing salon, a post-office, international telephone line, an excursion bureau, a branch bank and parking are also at guests` service.
