KIEV. August 1. UNN. Oleksandr Dovzhenko national center press –service reported that program “Ukrainian miracle” will be presented during the biggest and oldest 32nd silent film festival in Pordenone (Italy)
The program will consist of eight Ukrainian silent films, restored and dubbed through the request of the Dovzhenko Center in 2011-2013: "The battle of Giants" (1926), " Diplomatic courier bag" (1927), "Two Days" (1927), "Night cabby" (1929), "Arsenal" (1929), "Mean person" (1929), "Bread" (1930) and "Earth" (1930).
As Dovzhenko Center said, the Ukrainian silent films program will be presented, as part of a specialized and prestigious festival , for the first time. The talks with the head of the festival, David Robinson on the organization of Ukrainian Program in Pordenone began during the last years festival, where Ukraine represented its film, and it completed successfully at the beginning of this summer.
Films of the program will be presented with the live musical accompaniment of Ukrainian, Belarusian, Polish, Russian and local Italian musicians: Dakha Brakha, Yuri Kuznetsov, Port Mone, Marcin Pukaluk and others.
This year silent film festival in Pordenone will be held from 5 to 12 October.
